Everyone feels down occasionally however, feeling down can be a sign of a mental health condition called Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). It can affect your thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Often depression makes you feel sad and disconnected. It can also cause other symptoms such as fatigue and sleeping issues. A phobia is a type of anxiety disorder that causes a persistent fear of a certain object, situation, activity, or place. Phobias are the most common type of anxiety disorder and affect up to 12% of U.S. adults. A phobia is more than just fear; they can cause distress to the point where it interferes with daily life. There are hundreds of different types of specific phobias.

Bipolar disorder is a psychological condition which causes mood swings. These mood swings are characterized by periods of depression and mania. Symptoms of depression include sadness, feelings of worthlessness, and fatigue. Symptoms of mania include high energy levels,poor judgment, lack of temper control and reckless behavior. Treatment for bipolar disorder includes medications and therapy.
✔ OCD, PTSD, ADHD
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental illness that causes intrusive thoughts called obsessions. These thoughts cause compulsions which can be behaviors or rituals that counteract the obsessive thoughts. OCD affects around 2.3% of adults in the United States. OCD can make you feel as though you’ve lost control of your thoughts and actions. It can affect work, relationships and everyday life if left untreated. Our practice offers treatment that will help you gain control of your mental health and well-being.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a condition that occurs after a traumatic event. PTSD presents differently for everyone, it can cause symptoms such as flashbacks, sleep difficulties, loss of interest, and intrusive thoughts. 3.5% percent of U.S. adults experience PTSD each year.
ADHD (attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder) affects both adults and children. Symptoms include restlessness, concentration issues and hyperactivity. Treatments for ADHD include therapy and medication management.

Schizophrenia is a psychological disorder that includes symptoms such as hallucinations, anxiety, delusions, and paranoia. Treatment for schizophrenia includes therapy and medication management.
✔ Schizoaffective Disorder
Schizoaffective disorder is a mental health disorder that is marked by a combination of schizophrenia symptoms. There are two types of schizoaffective disorder:
Bipolar type, which includes episodes of mania and occasionally major depression
Depressive type, which includes only major depressive episodes
Schizoaffective disorder when left untreated can lead to issues with work, school and personal relationships. Individuals with schizoaffective disorder may need additional support for every day activities. Treatment can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
